Meaning something that is real, apprehensible, and physical that can be utilized by the recipient. So in making lesson plans or creating handouts or a presentation in that sense a teacher has made something tangible for his students. This definition could be looser and expanded to include a metaphysical sense (i.e. the stories, knowledge, etc taught by the teacher is of use and benefit to the students, albeit not in a physical sense). I would not discount that as creative work but it seemed too much to include in a single definition for one article and wasn’t part of the purpose I was trying to convey.
Thank you Drew for awakening a newfound thankfulness for my sometimes humdrum and tedious plight as a production home architect.:)
When you say “tangible use” what do you mean by that? Does a teacher create something tangible for his students?
